Finished project #50 of the 100 project challenge

Here it is the halfway point of the 100 project challenge. I’m a bit behind, I should have hit the 50 project mark at the end of June. Still I’m down 50 projects from when I started in July of 2007.

I was asked to be a guest blogger!!

You can see my guest post at http://www.favecraftsblog.com/guest-blog-organizing-your-crafts/

I apologize if they want an email address before you can enter – if you’re uncomfortable with that, feel free to use a fake gmail account.

What a perfect Yoga class!

I took my first yoga class today. I’m finally understanding what people are raving about. The teacher was concentrating on hips and low back today which is just perfect considering that over 2 years later I’m still having trouble with the hip damaged in the auto accident. I left class completely relaxed and in less pain without medication than I’ve been in ages. You can bet I’ll be back there next Monday.

I’ll just have to figure out how to get the youngest to and from football.

It’s football season again…

and practices are running 2 hours a day on 6 days of the week. I love this because it means I get to sit and talk with the other moms and work on a craft project every day. Right now I’m working on my Stretch pillowcases which I started back when the pattern first came out. Since starting the season, I have one pillowcase finished and I’m almost finished with the 2nd one. That’s a lot of progress on a project which has been languishing since 2003!

I may actually get it finished in time to send it to the State Fair this year we’ll see how practice goes this week since I’m going to interupt 2 days to start Yoga classes – they’re free at 24 hour Fitness.
Oh, and the reason I have all this time – My youngest son made the starting offensive line of the A team for his age group.

Back from Vacation…

We ran off to the mountains with the boys for a week. The first day was rainy and NOAH said it wouldn’t get any better so we headed south for a drier canyon. Ended up someplace where DH had never been so that was a first for the kids and they loved it.

Slept a ton, ate little, climbed a mountain and meditated for an hour by a gorgeous lake. All in all a refreshing, revitalizing trip.
I’m ready to come home though and energized to do everything I need to get done.
On that note, I’m a few feet short of the pre-made binding that I bought to finish the Birds in my Garden quilt. For those following the 100 project challenge this will be project #50. I will get the website up dated soon so y’all can see everything.
