Two months into the new year and what happened to my goals….

The goal for this year was to work on finishing things and not start new projects.  Just so you know, that isn’t going so well.  I have finished a few things – but they are all new starts.  See I wasn’t going to start anything new and then one of the church leaders asked if I would stitch the word Believe for four of the congregations. I couldn’t find a pattern that was the right size or that I liked so with the help of one of my EGA friends I put together a nice pattern and I’ve completed the first one.  The EGA friend is completing one of the pieces for me which means I have 2 more to stitch.

The other new project I’ve been working on is a quilt for my son who is serving an LDS mission in St. Louis, MO.  He wanted a red and blue quilt.  I was looking for patterns but ended up enrolling in a beginning quilt class.  I’m making the red and blue quilt but I’m also making a lavender and pink quilt for myself as well.  I’ve been keeping somewhat current on the red and blue quilt but I’m far behind on the lavender one.

Yes, I know you want pictures but I haven’t taken any so far.  It’s also the reason I haven’t blogged in awhile – I kept thinking I should take pictures first.  However, I think I’ll wait until I get the quilt top finished before I take pictures….
